US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment has appointed Maria Lettini as its new CEO. Lettini will take over the role from Lisa Wolf from 15 May 2023, with Diederik Timmer, Chair of US SIF’s board of directors, describing her as “the right candidate at the right time”. Lettini has experience in leading a sustainable investment organisation, having served as the Executive Director of global institutional investor network FAIRR. Joining the firm in 2016, she was responsible for growing its membership and expanding its impact across its research, data, collaborative engagements, policy and investor outreach pillars. Lettini has also previously worked for the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment where she expanded its community, managing the PRI’s signatory relations strategy and raising awareness of material ESG issues with institutional investors. Timmer said: “Hiring such an experienced CEO reinforces the ambitions of our board and the organisation. We are grateful she has chosen to focus her considerable talent on advancing US SIF’s mission.”
