American commercial bank US Bank has appointed Guillaume Mascotto in the newly created role of Head of Sustainable Finance. Mascotto joins from asset manager Jennison Associates where he was Global Head of ESG Strategy, with responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the firm’s ESG activities. Prior to joining Jennison, Mascotto served as Head of ESG and Investment Stewardship at American Century Investments, and as Vice President – ESG Credit Research at PIMCO. In his new role, Mascotto will be responsible for building and leading a new team focused on identifying sustainable finance opportunities, as well as supporting US Bank’s business lines to capture sustainable finance opportunities. This team will assist in identifying and launching products and services to meet customers’ sustainable financing needs, including lending and investment activities focused on empowering communities, supporting inclusive growth, and transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
