PSF Reports on EU Taxonomy Data and Usability, Minimum Safeguards

The Platform on Sustainable Finance (PSF) has published a report on data and usability of the EU Taxonomy and a report on minimum safeguards. The two reports look to provide the European Commission with key insights on the implementation of the EU Taxonomy, as well as the application of minimum safeguards set out in Article 18 of the Taxonomy Regulation. The PSF is an independent body, which was originally set up by the commission to develop the EU taxonomy. The report on data and usability includes recommendations for further implementation guidelines for Taxonomy-alignment reporting, updates to reporting annexes to ensure consistency in reporting obligations, and the setting up an online channel for revisions to existing criteria on the basis of implementation or usability issues. The other report recommends embedding minimum safeguards in existing EU regulation, identifying substantive topics relating to the standards and norms referenced in Article 18 of the Taxonomy regulation, and presenting advice on compliance with minimum safeguards.
