As You Sow, CDP, Oxfam America and the World Benchmarking Alliance are amongst 16 organisations who have received a share of a US$3.2 million grant pot focused on improving the harmonisation, adoption and development of impact data, standards and systems. Fran Seegull, President of the US Impact Investing Alliance and Executive Director of the Tipping Point Fund (TPF), which gave out the grants, said: “High-quality data and metrics are the foundation of well-functioning, efficient, and transparent capital markets.” Each grant recipient will use funding from the TPF to work on a specific project or deliverable. These include a framework to measure and assess public companies’ contributions to inequality from Oxfam America and the creation of global standards of “value factors” to understand how a company’s or investment’s outputs impact people and planet from Capitals Coalition.
