The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) has named Tamsin Ballard as Chief Initiatives Officer and Rose Easton as Interim Chief Responsible Investment Ecosystems Officer. In the newly created positions Ballard and Easton will lead two new teams that were created by PRI with the aim of “adapting to signatory needs and the global economy”. In her new role, Ballard will focus on investor collaboration and initiatives that encompass all aspects of responsible investment activity under the PRI’s six principles. This will include providing a steer and support to the Stewardship, Sustainability Initiatives, and Investor Initiatives Portfolio teams. Formerly a Senior Civil Servant at the UK Government, Ballard joined the PRI in September 2022 as Director of Climate and Environment and has more than two decades of experience in international policy and programmes in sustainable development, climate change and environment agendas. Easton joined the PRI in 2021 as Signatory Relations Director for Northern Europe, Middle East, and Africa bringing more than 25 years of experience in business development and relationship management within asset management and financial services. In her new role, she will start developing the PRI’s Responsible Investment Ecosystem function, which will manage its ecosystem activities in individual markets.
