Persefoni Launches Emissions Disclosure Tool

US-based climate management and accounting platform Persefoni has launched a free tool to help businesses disclose greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scopes 1 ,2 and 3. It comes as an analysis of CDP data revealed that just 10% of companies globally collected GHG emissions from their supply chains, despite 37% of them having an engagement strategy for climate-related issues with their suppliers.  “Carbon footprints are meant to be shared, and it should be easy and free,” said Kentaro Kawamori, CEO and Co-founder of Persefoni. “Whether you’re sharing your footprint internally or with external suppliers, investors, regulators, or the public, the ultimate benefit is using more accurate and complete data to drive better decision-making.” Some Global 2000 companies are already using Persefoni Pro for their calculations, Kawamori continued, adding that while the platform represented the culmination of many years of development and achievements in AI – including proprietary, advanced GPT models – it was only the first step in the process. “Before the summer, we will release additional one-click regulatory reporting, advanced calculations, and more GPT features,” he said. “Material network effects have been unlocked now that emissions data has become easier to gather, manage, and share.”
