UK pension fund Railpen has awarded employee-owned asset manager Neuberger Berman a £2 billion (US$2.6 billion) mandate to manage its liquid multi-asset credit strategy. The aim of the strategy is to help Railpen deliver on its Growth Fund’s risk and return objectives while integrating ESG values, utilising Neuberger Berman’s experience in fixed income investing and “ESG proficiency”. The strategic partnership is expected to be a long-term collaboration to deliver sustainable returns to Railpen members. Harsha Patel of the External Manager Oversight team at Railpen said: “We are excited to be partnering with Neuberger Berman to deliver a liquid multi-asset credit strategy that will help us achieve our investment goals.
