Investment manager Neuberger Berman has unveiled the Neuberger Berman Climate Innovation Fund. The fund will focus on the “key enablers and beneficiaries” of climate innovation, integrating “rigorous” fundamental analysis with the firm’s ESG investing expertise. The UCITS fund aims to capture alpha through investment in technologies and solutions along the climate technology “maturity curve”, maintaining between 30 and 60 global equity holdings. The fund builds on a platform of thematic equity investing that covers themes ranging from next-generation mobility to the space economy, the firm said. It is also Article 8 compliant under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. Charlie Lim, Co-Manager of the Fund, said: “We need to triple the level of annual investment taking place to combat climate change, which is driving the emergence of a new, historic capex cycle. We believe that investing in climate innovation offers both a secular growth opportunity and a boon to society.”
