Carbon management platform Normative has launched the Carbon Network, a solution aimed at empowering businesses to exchange carbon-related insights and collaboratively work on emission reduction strategies. This network aims to render carbon visibility universal, facilitating effective management and reduction strategies. Normative CEO Kristian Rönn said: “Carbon accounting is no longer a tick-box compliance exercise – it’s a reduction race.” While global companies look to track carbon emissions to comply with reporting regulations, efforts often fall short due to incomplete data leading to accusations of greenwashing, compliance failures, and obstructing the achievement of net zero targets. The Carbon Network aims to enable businesses to assess their Scope 3 emissions, interface with primary carbon data sources, and integrate crucial information into their operational frameworks. “The carbon network makes it possible for everyone to see carbon. When we can see carbon, it’s no longer an ambiguous, overwhelming element floating in the atmosphere – it’s a concrete challenge that we can solve through collaboration and actionable carbon insights,” added Rönn.
