Climate Action 100+, the investor initiative focused on reducing GHG emissions at large carbon-intensive firms, has identified a handful of key climate-related proposals that will be voted on at AGMs in the upcoming proxy season. They include a shareholder proposal calling for TCFD-aligned reporting by Berkshire Hathaway, filed by Brunel Pension Partnership, and management proposals by CRH plc for the approval of financial statements and re-election of auditors, which will be opposed by Sarasin & Partners, on grounds of the firm’s failure to disclose requested information on climate risks. Climate Action 100+, which does not require investor signatories to support specific shareholder resolutions or other votes, will update its list of flagged proposals and votes weekly throughout the 2022 proxy season.
