HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) and global exchange operator Nasdaq have created a Climate Technology ETF, the HSBC Nasdaq Global Climate Tech UCITS ETF. The launch bolsters HSBC AM’s thematic ETF range and offers investors a “broad exposure to the climate technology ecosystem through a future-focused thematic taxonomy”. The ETA will track the Nasdaq CTA Global Climate Technology Index, which is comprised of companies with the goal of facilitating climate transition and mitigating climate risk. This index includes “key technologies” that are “creating a more sustainable future” and support the transition, such as power storage, infrastructure, agriculture and food technology, and fossil fuel-free transportation.
