HSBC AM Hires Global Stewardship Head

HSBC Asset Management has appointed Carol Storey as its new Global Head of Stewardship. She will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective investment stewardship strategies at the firm. Storey has 15 years of industry experience in sustainability, financial risk and consulting. She joins from Schroders, where she spent nearly four years, including more than two as Active Ownership Manager and Climate Engagement Lead. In that role, she led the firm’s global climate engagement programme and designed its voting and escalation strategy to support net zero commitments. Prior to this, Storey spent three years at PwC, where she served as Senior Manager of Sustainability and Climate Change. Storey has also been recognised for her role in collaborative industry initiatives, including Climate Action 100+ and the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, and received the International Corporate Governance Network’s Excellence in Stewardship award last year.
