The Climate Bonds Initiative has launched the Global Resilience Programme to mobilise capital markets to bolster resilience in the face of climate change. The programme has three goals: identify credible and science-based resilience-focused investment opportunities, mobilise finance toward these opportunities, and accelerate the speed and growth of investments by ensuring a supportive policy and regulatory environment. The first phase of the programme will focus on developing a climate resilience taxonomy to direct finance towards credible resilience projects, while the second phase will develop criteria for relevant sectors to enable certification of resilience-focused instruments across the entire economy.
