Glass Lewis Offers Customised Stewardship Services

Proxy advisor Glass Lewis has introduced a suite of stewardship solutions which allow investment managers and pension funds to select service levels according to their specific needs. The new multi-level solution set ranges from a SaaS-based tracking and reporting platform that clients can use to track their own programme to a fully custom service that leverages Glass Lewis’ stewardship team to perform and management engagement campaigns on their firm’s behalf. The new suite offers three core levels of service, starting with Client-managed Engagement, graduating to Active Stewardship Engagement and Custom Engagement Services. The latter is designed to extend users’ engagement reach through customised campaigns, which increase in scope, spanning standard, premium, and enterprise service levels. Investors can choose to have the Glass Lewis’ Active Stewardship team conduct a single outreach campaign, a campaign that includes escalation, or a multi-issue, multi-channel campaign with escalation based on specific needs, desired engagement themes and issues.Given today’s heightened stewardship expectations, meeting fiduciary obligations through a robust engagement program is crucial to supporting long-term value creation,” said Elena Leofanti, Director of Stewardship at Glass Lewis. “Yet, with varying priorities and time horizons, there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to investment stewardship. Glass Lewis recognises investors are at various stages of their engagement journey and their efforts are multilayered, which is why we developed our solutions to accommodate a spectrum of needs.”
