The Platform on Sustainable Finance (PSF) has published its final report on the technical screening criteria (TSC) for sustainable economic activities listed under the environmental taxonomy. Following an initial report published in March, the PSF has outlined a conceptual framework for ‘Enabling Activities’, as well as additional TSC for themes such as agriculture for biodiversity, manufacturing of chemical products, and waterborne transportation. Some new activities were also added: use of concrete in civil engineering works, demolition of buildings and other structures, and manufacture of copper under manufacturing of basic metals. The Commission has said this “additional advice will be carefully analysed and will inform the Commission’s continued reflections on the matter”.
Congratulations to all Platform members and colleagues on recommending more economic activities to deliver our environmental objectives. #EUTaxonomy more important than ever. https://t.co/bZjdtUK8PK
