The European Commission has published a draft delegated act (DA) outlining the criteria for economic activities across the remaining four environmental objectives of the taxonomy: sustainable use of water, circular economy, pollution prevention, and biodiversity. The public consultation is open to feedback until 3 May and specifies the technical screening criteria for certain economic activities across manufacturing, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation, construction, civil engineering, disaster risk management, information and communication, environmental protection, and restoration and accommodation activities. Additionally, the Commission has requested feedback on amendments to the Climate DA, which covers climate change mitigation and adaptation activities and was adopted in December 2021. Entities will be required to report on the eligibility of their investments in line with the four environmental objectives from 2024, and alignment a year after.
