ESG ratings agency EthicsGrade has integrated generated AI (genAI) into its corporate digital responsibility (CDR) ratings and research. The integration will see OpenAI’s GPT generate automated analyst reports and numerical scores from the 1,000 data points that EthicsGrade uses to grade each company. These will complement the work of analysts to give users of EthicsGrade’s free platform to “a rounder summary and greater insights” into why companies have been given a certain ESG rating. EthicsGrade currently offers analyst research on ESG performance on technology risks including data protection, AI governance, and cybersecurity for 300 firms. The platform, live since April, has targeted the full integration of GPT across its 3,600-company universe by the end of 2023. Charles Radclyffe, CEO at EthicsGrade, said: “We want to be able to answer any ESG question for any stakeholder on any company. GPT, on-top of our existing predictive technology, helps get us one step closer to achieving our mission.”
