Climate Asset Management Appoints COO

Natural capital-focused UK manager Climate Asset Management has appointed Sarah Gledhill as its new Chief Operating Officer. Gledhill has held a number of leadership roles across finance, risk, technology, operations and sustainability, including at InfraRed Capital, HSBC Asset Management and Ernst and Young. Gledhill’s appointment comes after a year of expansion for Climate Asset Management. In April 2023, Apple announced Climate Asset Management would manage a novel natural capital investment vehicle of up to US$200 million, as part of Apple’s Restore Fund. “I am delighted to join Climate Asset Management at this exciting time for the business and look forward to contributing to the ambition of leadership team,” said Gledhill. “Climate Asset Management has received commitments from leading global firms across multiple sectors which demonstrates confidence in the business and that nature is now firmly on the agenda for corporates and institutional investors transitioning to net zero.” Climate Asset Management was formed in 2020 as a joint venture of HSBC Asset Management and Pollination, with the ambition to grow the world’s largest asset management company dedicated to natural capital. Climate Asset Management is one of the three Founding Partners of the Natural Capital Investment Alliance. Established by His Majesty King Charles III in his former role as The Prince of Wales under his Sustainable Markets Initiative, the Alliance aims to mobilise US$10 billion towards natural capital themes.
