Ahead of COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh next week, environmental disclosure platform CDP has called on attending governments to facilitate a whole economy transformation through increased ambition and transparency. CDP has disclosed its ‘four key asks’: strengthening the foundations of a sustainable financial system, ensuring nature remains prominent, increasing disclosure and tracking progress, and enhancing 1.5°C ambition and action. “COP27 is set to bring the critical issues of resilience and adaptation to the fore. In order to secure a 1.5°C, resilient, globally equitable future, we need a whole economy transformation in which non-state actors play an increasingly vital role,” CDP said.
