Aviva Investors Bolsters Sustainability Team

Aviva Investors has hired three new responsible investment team members within its real assets unit. A chartered engineer, Phillipa Grant, has been named as Director of Sustainable Investments, joining from global advisory business AESG, where she served for eight years as partner and global director of sustainability successively. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Ortiz has been appointed as Associate and joins from KPMG, where she was an assistant manager leading on climate strategy development for corporate clients. Finally, Jeremy Ho has been named as Analyst and previously worked at Pyxis Wealth Advisors and research platform proSapient, where he carried out cross-asset class analysis for hedge fund, private equity and ultra-high net worth family clients. All three appointees will report to Edward Dixon, Head of Responsible Investment for Real Assets at Aviva. “Our recent real assets study showed that 57% of institutional investors have a commitment to reaching net zero, so it is vitally important we have the resource and expertise to guide our clients and show how real-asset allocations can align portfolios with those objectives,” said Dixon. “All three hires bring an enviable level of expertise from across a range of geographies and sectors to address this need, and we believe they will materially advance the breadth and depth of our sustainability offering to clients.”
