Impact investment manager Snowball has made several appointments to its team and board, bolstering its ability to “keep up with impact demand” from investors. Sean Farrell has been promoted to CIO, after joining the Snowball team in 2022 as an investment director. He previously worked at 3i, TDR Capital, TPG Capital and Goldman Sachs, as well as being the global head of private markets at Capital Partners, an investment firm with US$40 billion in assets under management. Farrell replaces Peter Baxter, who moves to a Non-Executive Director (NED) role. Baxter joined Snowball when the firm was founded in 2016 and will now chair its impact investment committee. Daniela Barone Soares, CEO at Snowball, said: “Peter has been instrumental in the Snowball success story so far. In his new role as NED, we will continue to benefit from [his] wisdom and his deep mainstream asset management experience. We are delighted to have someone of Sean’s calibre ready to step into Peter’s big shoes”. Danielle Walker-Palmour will join the firm’s board as a NED. She is a founding director of Friends Provident Foundation, an independent charity dedicated to creating a fair and sustainable economy. Christine Chang has also joined Snowball’s investment committee.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sean Farrell as Snowball's new Chief Investment Officer, as well as new additions to our board and investment committee @DaniellePalmour and Christine Chang.#BetterInvesting https://t.co/A6cINA2ztW @InvestmentWeek
