Pedro Carvalheiro has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, currently holding the position of Head of Capital Markets at HeavyFinance. He has had a range of responsibilities including managing investment portfolios and liquidity, interest rate and foreign currency risk. He has also been a trader at the Portuguese Treasury and Debt Management Agency, and was a FX trader at Banco Santander for a year, responsible for daily spot FX pricing using EBS, FX inside and Reuters dealing systems, as well as taking trading positions based on personal views supported by market analysis and team guidelines. Carvalheiro completed a course in Fixed Income Profiles and Strategies at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in 2014 and earned a Master's degree in Banking and Financial Risk from Universidad de Alcalá in 2008-2009. Before that, he graduated in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics in 2006.
