Elrika Hamdi, IEEFA

Elrika Hamdi is an energy finance analyst at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA), covering energy transition, economics, finance and politics in the Southeast Asian region. She has covered the Indonesian power and energy market extensively over the years, and built a reputation as a trusted analyst by industry players, investors, and government officials.With over 15 years of on-the-ground experience in the energy and finance sector, Hamdi has been involved in numerous projects related to renewable energy, rural electrification and energy efficiency market funded either by private companies or donor agencies such as USAID, AFD, GIZ, and UNEP. Previously, she was a corporate advisory consultant in Singapore dealing with company listings and corporate mergers & acquisition. Hamdi holds a Bachelor of International Relations from the University of Indonesia, and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Aston Business School.
