Christy Hoffman, UNI Global Union

Christy Hoffman is the General Secretary of UNI Global Union, a federation bringing together services industries workers in 150 countries. Before UNI, she had 25 years’ experience in the US labour movement. At UNI, she was instrumental in negotiating the ground-breaking Bangladesh Accord as well as securing global framework agreements with multinationals to safeguard the rights of their employees worldwide. Her expertise includes using the international standards and tools which govern corporate accountability and the human rights of workers, like the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UNI Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.
